Comments....Lost (and found) in cyberspace!
Just wanted to post a quick apology to those of you have posted or made any comments over the past several weeks. As I logged into my account tonight I encountered 8 posts that I had not seen or acted on in previous logins (most likely user error on my part!). With that being said, I started this blog to spur conversation and I greatly appreciate the comments and thoughts you have to share. Please keep them coming and hopefully I won't have another comment time warp! I was wandering why Jewish Hospital doctors do not accept Indiana Medicaid. I was recently trying to make an appointment for my daughter with Dr. Shay and could not. I was told that they could not accept Iniana Medicaid.
When I called Indiana Medicaid they told me that they would pay if the doctor would accept the allowed amount. When I again contacted Dr. Shay's office I was told that they were not in control of the contracts. They are handled by Jewish Hospital.
Over the years our family has been to Dr. Shay several times. It is very disappointing to find out that my younger children are not going to receive the quality care that we have received in the past due to the fact that we are going through a time of financial hardship.
I highly reccomend Jewish Hospital and it's doctors to my family and friends. Dr. Shay has been a great doctor for our family in the past. I hope that we can someday start seeing him again.
